Claude Burton
Managing Partner and Founder
Claude Burton is the Managing Partner of LionLight Capital and leads the firm and investment team. He is a Member of the Board of Directors at The RipTide Car Wash and Sage Mountain Advisors.
Prior to founding LionLight in 2023, Claude was a Partner and Investment Committee member at SkyKnight Capital, which he helped grow to $2.5B of AUM.
Earlier in his career, Claude worked in C-level roles at two technology companies and was part of the private equity team at New Mountain Capital. Claude began his career on the M&A team at JPMorgan. He also served as an advisor on the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform (Simpson-Bowles Commission).
Claude received a joint M.B.A / M.P.P. degree at Harvard Business School / Harvard Kennedy School, where he was a George Leadership Fellow. He graduated with a B.S. in Economics from Duke University.
Outside of work, Claude enjoys spending time with his wife, three kids, and two dogs. He also enjoys playing all sports, mountaineering, and travel.
