Mike Calabrese is an Advisor with LionLight Capital focused on the insurance industry. He has led a highly successful 40-year career with some of the world’s leading insurance brokers.
As the first Global Practice Leader for Aon’s Merger & Acquisition Group (AMAG), Mike established and scaled a global business serving private equity clients, expanding from a handful of offices to 23 locations in 16 countries.
Mike later served as the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of the Northeast Series of Lockton. Here, he launched Lockton’s New York City office with just 8 employees and, alongside his team, grew the business across the Northeast region to $200+ million in revenues and 350+ employees in twelve years. He led a disciplined organic growth strategy, supported by a strong sales culture, top-tier talent recruitment and development, greenfield expansions in Philadelphia and Boston, and strategic integrations with Lockton’s Hartford and Washington, DC offices.
Mike and his wife currently live in Naples, Florida, and he also spends time at their home in Tuxedo Park, NY. He stays busy with tennis and visiting his daughters in NYC and LA.
